Museum Critique

I think what stands out the most about this piece is how the picture itself is upside-down and the viewer needs the glass sphere in able to actually see the real piece. I think the sphere is pretty important because without it you wouldn't be able to see what it really was without paying close attention, cause I definitely didn't when I first glanced at it.I think the artist's lifestyle must be kind of structured and organized based on the way that the piece is set up. All the different colors are placed strategically which helps to move the eye around. I think the feelings that it inspires is more toward an awe for the time it took to assemble spools of thread in this way to make a picture that I think everyone recognizes across the world. Because there is something like this that is so easily recognizable, I think the attention to detail is pretty accurate. Typography hasn't been used at all in this piece. The overall concept is pretty solid. The imagery is easy to understand and see well.
